Become a SPECIAL SANTA…..

Special Santa’s are people who donate to the program. You can become a Special Santa in a variety of ways.
  1. Sponsor a Child or Family.

    Every child gives the Special Santa Program a wish list. If you sponsor a child you receive the wish list and we ask that you spend between $50 and $100 to buy gift. We can match you with a child or children (ages newborn to 18) of your choice. Your gifts go directly to the child(ren) you sponsor.

    General Instructions:

    • Purchase between $50 and $100 of items from the child’s wish list.
    • Gifts do not have to be wrapped, however, feel free to do so.
    • Christmas stockings are optional.
    • Please label your gifts with the child’s name and program assigned number.
    • Please sign cards or labels “From Santa”. All Santas remain anonymous.
    • Gifts may be delivered from Sat Dec. 8 thru Sat. Dec. 15 12:00 pm and 6:00 pm to Special Santa’s workshop at Mile 5 on the Palmer Wasilla Highway, in the SNE Building. Signs will be posted on the Palmer-Wasilla Highway.
  2. Donate Items to the Program.

    Some Special Santa’s like to donate specific items to the program. Examples in the past have included fleece blankets, hats, CD players, jewelry, games, stuffed animals and winter coats. Gifts for children of all ages are needed.

      We are in Need of:

    • Winter Wear: (all sizes): Coats, boots, mittens, hats, socks,
    • Electronics: CD or tape players, radios, handheld games, shavers
    • Personal Items: Perfume, toiletries, shampoo, hair accessories
    • Household Items: Bedding, pillows, blankets, towels, lamps
    • General Gifts: Jewelry, puzzles, games, videos, CD’s, posters
    • Art Supplies: Markers, paints, pens, paper, stickers, crayons
    • Sporting Equipment: Sleds, bikes, fishing poles, balls, skates
    • Gift Cards/Certificates: Local stores, movie or swim passes
    • Educational: Kits (beading, sewing, etc.), models, games
    • Books: Books for all ages, especially teens
    • Toys: For all ages
  3. Donate money to the program.

    If you do not have time to shop, Santa’s Elves will gladly do it for you. Financial donations may be made to “AFS-Special Santa Program”.
